Here's some info on the great artists we play on La Preciosa

Gerardo Reyes began his professional career at the end of WWII at a restaurant in his native Mexico. Reyes then became a father figure to the entire Latin Music community. With dozens of albums in a variety of styles, he moved forward to collaborate with a countless number of different brands, including the movie industry.

Yolanda Del Rio is an artist that many women have identified themselves with for over 35 years. Her songs talk about the issues our female listeners can relate to.

In the 70s, Duo’s were a popular style in Mexican music creating a new way of singing Ranchera music. The most famous of all time favorites include: Las Hermanas Padilla, Las Hermanas Huerta, and Las Jilguerillas.

The Mexican group Los Bukis recorded their debut album in 1975. The group was formed by singer and songwriter Marco Antonio Solis. They started playing traditional Mexican music, later moving to Pop. Their songs were frequently among the top hits on the Latin charts.

Juan Gabriel is one of Mexico’s most successful vocalist. Gabriel is a six time Grammy nominee, selling over 30 million copies of his albums and performing sold out concerts throughout the world.

Joan Sebastian has been recognized by critics and colleagues for his contribution to the Mexican Culture. He embarked himself on a successful music and acting career receiving the title of King of Jaripeos.

Paquita la del Barrio started singing at a restaurant in Mexico City over 30 years ago.
Recognized for her aggressive songs toward men, she continues to sing with Mariachi.
